황태자의 첫사랑 (The First Love of a Royal Prince) MBC-2004

I have just finished watching <황태자의 첫사랑> aka The first love of a royal prince.This was a 2004 MBC drama starring Sung Yuri (Fin.K.L) and Cha Tae Hyun (My Sassy Girl). The thing i loved about this drama was that it was filmed not only in Korea, but the beautiful resorts in Bali and Sapporo, Japan. So we got to see both winter and summer resorts.

The plot was really touching and meaningful although the storyline seems predictable (2 guys fighting over a girl, the spoiled-brat-turned-better-person plot). A drama not to be missed for K drama fans.

The resort theme made the whole drama a refreshing experience where they film the resort attractions and scenery. Beautiful scenery completed by excellent acting. Cha Tae Hyun portrays the character perfectly. I hated him in the beginning for his nastiness and lack of compassion but later on my heart simply melted when he was so in love with Yuri. Its a light hearted drama yet heart wrenching and touching in some parts.

Cha Tae Hyun may not be the most handsome actor in Korea but he’s simply charismatic. You can see that he’s a natural actor and outside the drama, he seems to be at ease in front of the camera and loves to joke around. On the other hand,Kim Nam-jin seems more reserved outside the drama.

Flaws: the only flaws i find was that the story at the back was not really well executed. I dint really like the part where she suddenly realises who her true love was. That part was a little abrupt than what i hoped it will be. But still, a beautiful story.
