Boys Before Flowers – Lee Si Young’s confession
Lee Si Young has gained alot of attention recently from her role as Oh Min Ji (Jandi’s classmate) in Boys Over Flowers and was featured in New Year’s special broadcast of ‘We Got Married (우리 결혼했어요)’.
In the episode, she was paired off with JunJin from Shinhwa. During the show it was mentioned that she attended the same college with Junjin during the same period. Hence it brought about the curiousity of her real age. In a recent interview, she admits that she was born in ’82 (28 years old), instead of ‘84 as previously stated.
Also, Lee Si Young confesses that she is not a natural beauty and has undergo plastic surgery. In the interview, she mentioned that she was ‘on the plump side’ last time and has successfully slimmed down through jazz and exercise.
Her confession generally generates positive comments from netizens who praised her for her honesty.

hmm actually I don’ really care so much if actresses fake their ages or have plastic surgery. It’s still within acceptable range. To me, acting/singing well is a more important concern. But I still applaud Lee Si Young for her confession. It’s good that she didn’t try to vehemently deny the truth or to avoid the subject altogether.

I love her personality! She’s very honest and her acting is very good. I don’t care about age or face (ok, maybe a little .. but I don’t really care about plastic surgery), her skills are more important. I saw Yashimanman some weeks ago, and she said that she failed in many auditions because she’s a ‘82. Korea’s really tough, huh..
she sure looks different from then. She’s beautiful now… and it is noticeable that she hav plastic surgery so u cant hide the obvious but i giv her props for admitting it. Honestly in the real world “True Beauty” bunch of bologna, ppl only pay attention to the outer appearance. Ppl who undergo surgery got guts. I wouldnt get plastic surgery though its too painful and not worth it.
