Gu Hye Sun: ‘Da Vinci is my role model’

At the opening ceremony of her personal art exhibition in Insadong’s art gallery, Gu Hye Sun revealed that her role model is none other than the celebrated Leonardo Da Vinci.
I’m not sure if people will criticise and jeer at me if I reveal this, but my role model is Leonardo Da Vinci. My favourite teacher gave me a book titled ‘Think like Da Vinci’ and it had alot of influence on me. Through the book, I learned that even though we are not geniuses and have own our flaws, we are still able to accomplish alot of things and this gave me alot of confidence.
Gu Hye Sun’s preferred tool is a black marker and she usually spends 1-2 hours drawing per day. The album artwork in Gummy’s 4th album was also done by her.

Gu Hye Sun also revealed that she is currently choosing her next acting project. She is deliberating between choosing another role similar to the one in Boys Before Flowers or an entirely new and refreshing role.
After the huge success of her short film, Gu Hye Sun is currently writing a full length film. Although she has no current plans of making a full length movie, she wishes to prepare in advance.
About 50 of her art works will be exhibited and the public can visit the gallery from tomorrow till 7 July.

I particularly like this pic of hers
Seriously, if some random artiste declares that Da Vinci is their role model, I’ll probably roll my eyes and think ‘what a fake and stupid statement’. But Gu Hye Sun is really talented in her doodlings and this made that statement more believable and digestable. Personally, I think she should choose a brand new, refreshing role for her next project. Perhaps a villian? haha
