자기소개서 / about me
안녕하세요 여러분! 제 블로그에 들어와 주셔서 감사합니다. 시간이 정말 빨리 지났군요. 이 블로그를 만든지1년이 되었어요. 제가 반 년전에 썼던 ‘자기소개서’를 보니 추억을 많이 떠올렸어요. 지난 6개월 동안 정말 신기한다고 생각해요. 이 작은 공간을 통해 새로운 친구를 많이 사귀었기 때문이에요.
반년마다 새로운 인사말을 쓰는 것이 저한테 일종 습관이 된 것 같아요. 그 동안 제 한국말 실력이 늘는지 모르겠지만 늘 노력하고 있어요.
지금부터 인사 드릴게요. 제 이름은 Shanna (샤나)고 싱가폴 여학생이에요. 저는 8월부터 대학생이 되고 전공은 언어학이에요. 왜 언어학을 전공하냐고요? 저는 한국어를 공부할수록 언어에 대해 관심이 기지게 되었어요. 더 깊이 알고 싶어서 언어학을 전공하기로 결정했어요.
제 꿈은 번역가가 되는 것이에요. 물론 제 꿈을 이루기까지 아직 먼 것 같아요. 그런데 최선을 다해 노력하기로 했어요.

안녕하세요. 이 블로그 만든지 6달쯤 되었어요. 여기서 새 친구들을 만나서 아주 기뻐요. 방금 몇 달전에 쓰었던 ‘자기소개서’ 읽었어요. ㅋㅋ 틀린 것이 좀 있는데… ^^ 아.. 벌써 몇 달을 지났어요. 지금 한국어 실력이 좀 올린 것 같아요. 그래서 새 ‘자기소개서’ 쓰고 싶어요.
우선.. 이 블로그 들러서 고마워요. 저는 싱가폴 사람이고 지금 학생이에요. 한국어를 배운 지 9달쯤 되었어요. 초금 수업이 다녔지만 지금 혼자서 공부하고 있어요.
많은 사람들이 저에게 왜 한국어 공부하고 싶냐고 물었어요. ㅋㅋ 글쎄요.. 처음에는 한국 드라마 좋아해서 배웠는데 나중에는 한국어를 정말로 좋아해서 배우는거군요. 응.. 저도 한국에 대해 왜 이렇게 좋아하는지 잘 모르겠어요. 저는 한국에 대해 많이 배우고 싶어요.
한국 드라마뿐만 아니라 한국 노래도 많이 좋아해요. 특히 세븐하고 SG 워너비의 노래를 자주 들어요. 지금까지 한국에 가 본 적이 없는데 나중에 교환 학생으로 가고 싶어요. 1년 동안 한국에 지내고 있으면 좋겠어요.

Hello! (: wow I guess it’s high time that I should write a new ‘about me’ paragraph. The one below was written on the day I created this blog and it has been more than a year! Well, I’m still a staunch korean drama fan, that has not changed.
I’m Shanna and I’m from Singapore. In a few month’s time, I am going to be a first year uni student majoring in Linguistics. Why Linguistics? As I am learning korean, I grew to appreciate the beauty of languages and that made me want to learn more.
My goal is to become a translator and I’m now trying to practice by translating korean entertainment news which catches my eye.
This site was originally created to share my love for korean dramas (hence the url) but it has now evolved to record my korean learning journey and to share my love and passion for the language. Korean entertainment news is another frequently blogged about topic. (okay, I blog about anything korean! (: ) Occasionally, I will dabble into linguistics and other stuff that interests me.

I’m a staunch korean drama fan and am currently studying korean. My goal is to be fluent in korean within a year and watching korean dramas help to improve my language standard (haha actually thats a lame excuse to watch all the hot guys in the shows heh).
This site has evolved to become a place to record my Korean learning journey. I hope to share my experiences with everybody and if anyone is also interested in Korean, feel free to drop me a comment.

그러고 보니 한글로 글을 써도 이해할 것 같아서 한글로 씁니다.
당신의 글을 보고 처음에는 한국에 유학온 외국인의 블로그인줄 알았습니다.

yuP~! exactly! it’s the korean drama… i used to think that korean drama are so draggy and boring… but i was wrong! lolx… oh yeah i went to nus extension they say public is not allowed to buy the books… T_T
any idea where to buy some books on sth like…. teaches u how to construct the sentence properly??? cos all i have is a phrase book… heex

hmm i think the public is only allowed to buy the KLPT practice books from nus extension. For good textbooks, i featured a few in the ‘korean language resources’ page. Some of them are more expensive (over $100), so I prefer to borrow them. Try starting with ‘Beginner Korean’ by Ross King ^^
If you really wanna buy the books, go to taka kino’s language section. they have a pretty good selection of textboks there.
oh thanx…. cos i went nus extension the receptionist was like if u are not student u are not allowed to buy anything… -_-”~!

hmm if you are a total beginner, it’s good to enrol yourself in a beginner korean class. In that way you can build up a good foundation even if you choose to self study later on.
If you are from Singapore, Singapore Korean School offers korean classes. (: once you get the basics, koreanclass101.com has alot of great podcasts ranging from newbie lessons all the way to advanced lesson. it’s really interesting and you get to learn about korean culture too.

im just a beginner.. but it’s been a month when i started learning it by my own.. im super interested learning korean.. so i decided to surf on internet and print out some stuffs and meaning/words of korean.. until i saw your blog.. i was WOW.. as in WOW! 
now im 16 yrs. old, i think it’s about time to learn more, to learn how to speak fluent in korean language.. can you speak korean??
